a film about something that happened, combining images, words and music to make an argument. In live docs these component pieces are torn from the editor’s timeline and thrown up onto the stage to fit together in unique ways in conjunction with participant-spectators.
Every story/history/film comes from a perspective. Live docs open those perspectives to audiences and invite them in.
Interactivity moves from isolated face-to-screen interactions to those in which audiences engage and learn from each other. Co-created with the audience, no two live doc performances are ever the same.
